Essay Topics - Essay Ideas For High School Students on Essay TopicsThe parable of the sower is a powerful teaching tool for essay topics. It provides a subtle picture of the process of planting seeds. It also offers a great metaphor for the actions of planting seeds that open our eyes to the fact that what starts out as a seed can grow into something mighty big and strong, such as a forest or a kingdom. In the parable of the sower, Noah, a righteous man, was given instructions by God to plant a huge ark in the middle of the ocean to save people from a dreadful flood. There were two boys named Elisha and Lamech who faithfully went into the ark. They took five hundred and fifty shekels of fine gold as well as three thousand talents of pure silver. When they landed, Noah was quite amazed because the place where he left the ark was thirty cubits below the surface of the water, while now it was high above the water. They wondered why the waters did not rise up. There was no wind blowing. Th en Noah asked God for a sign that these waters would begin to subside. God gave him one.A deluge came, and there was a separation of the waters. Noah saw that the place where the waters had been gathered together became dry land. He asked God why this happened. God replied, 'Behold, the days are long and the end is near; and I will send rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights from now, and after that a famine will come upon the earth for forty years.'Noah understood what the Lord meant and that these were the signs that God had mentioned in the last verse. When the famine came, Noah built an altar to the Lord and filled the ark with precious things. He kept the flocks of his sheep and herds of his oxen. He also kept the best of the food of all his livestock in the ark.On the day of the forty-first celebration of the creation of the world, God looked down upon the world and behold the ark, filled with all the creations of God. The sea was on the dry land, but the rivers of th e earth and the fountains of the deep were dried up. God then explained to Noah that he would soon go to sleep and that he would gather the animals together in the ark.Noah pulled the ark ashore and placed the animals inside. After a moment, God shut the door of the ark and the floodwaters subsided. Noah was thankful that the flood waters were subside, but the animals became thirsty and hungry.God told Noah to go out to the sea and see whether there were any living creatures in the sea. Noah went out to the sea, but there was no living creature in the sea, nor could any find life in the sea. God sent a bird to Noah to tell him that the waters were all dried up and that he could put to death all living creatures that lived in the ark.
